The Aether

The Aether is a heavenly sky dimension added by the Aether mod, expanded with Deep Aether, Aether Redux, and Aether Villages extensions. It features floating islands high above the clouds, unique ores, and three major dungeon bosses.
Portal: Build a Glowstone frame (same shape as a Nether portal) and activate it with a Water Bucket instead of Flint & Steel.
Key Features: Floating islands, cloud-walking, unique ores (Ambrosium, Gravitite, Zanite), and lush skyscape biomes.
Bosses: Slider (Bronze Dungeon), Valkyrie Queen (Silver Dungeon), Sun Spirit (Gold Dungeon).
Unique Items: Aether gear, Gravitite tools, and accessories/equipment slots that expand your character's capabilities.
Tips: Be careful of falling into the void below the islands. Bring plenty of food and watch your step near edges.

Twilight Forest

The Twilight Forest is an enchanted dimension of perpetual twilight, dense forests, and progression-locked biomes. You must defeat bosses in a strict order to advance through the dimension.
Portal: Dig a 2x2 hole, fill it with water, surround it with flowers on all sides, then throw in a Diamond to activate the portal.
Key Features: Perpetual twilight atmosphere, progression-locked biomes (you must defeat bosses in order to unlock new areas).
Boss Progression: Naga → Lich → Minoshroom → Hydra → Knight Phantom → Ur-Ghast → Alpha Yeti → Snow Queen.
Unique Items: Ironwood, Steeleaf, Fiery tools, and Knightmetal equipment.
Tips: This dimension forces linear boss progression. You cannot access certain biomes until you defeat the required boss. Plan your gear upgrades accordingly.

Blue Skies

The Blue Skies mod adds two sub-dimensions: Everbright (a land of eternal day) and Everdawn (a land of eternal dusk). Each has its own biomes, bosses, and resources.
Everbright Portal: Found via gateways in the world. Requires Turquoise Stone to activate.
Everdawn Portal: Found via gateways in the world. Requires Pyrope Stone to activate.
Bosses: Summoner and Alchemist (Everbright), Arachnarch and Starlit Crusher (Everdawn).
Resources: Each sub-dimension has unique materials and crafting recipes not found elsewhere.
Important Note: Player progression is reset in these dimensions. Your Overworld gear is less effective, so you will need to craft new equipment using local resources.

Deeper and Darker

The Deeper and Darker mod extends the Deep Dark into a full dimension with unique biomes, structures, and Warden-related content. This is one of the most dangerous dimensions in Better MC.
Access: Through a portal found in Ancient Cities within the Deep Dark biome.
Key Features: An extension of the Deep Dark concept with unique biomes, structures, and Warden-related enemies.
Resources: Soul-related items and unique equipment that cannot be found in other dimensions.
Tips: This dimension is very dangerous. Come well-prepared with strong armor, weapons, and plenty of supplies. Stealth can help you avoid some encounters.

The Other Side

The Other Side is a dark dimension connected to the Warden lore. It offers a high-danger exploration experience for late-game players.
Access: Through an Ancient City portal (alternate activation method).
Features: A dark dimension tied to Warden lore with unique environments and threats.
Danger Level: High. This dimension is intended for well-equipped, late-game players.

Nether (Improved)

The Nether in Better MC is significantly enhanced by the BetterNether mod and Cataclysm structures, adding new biomes, larger structures, and formidable bosses.
Access: Standard obsidian portal, same as vanilla Minecraft.
Changes: New biomes, improved Nether Fortress (now much larger with an underground dungeon), new structures including Soul Blacksmith and Burning Arena.
Bosses: Netherite Monstrosity (Soul Blacksmith), Ignis (Burning Arena) from the Cataclysm mod.
Tips: The reworked Nether Fortress is spectacular and worth exploring fully. The underground dungeon beneath it contains valuable loot.

End (Improved)

The End dimension is overhauled by the BetterEnd mod, featuring a redesigned Dragon fight, new island biomes, and additional structures and creatures.
Access: Standard Ender eyes portal in a Stronghold, same as vanilla Minecraft.
Dragon Fight: The Ender Dragon fight is redesigned with a summoning ritual mechanic.
End Islands: New unique biomes and structures replace the empty void of vanilla End islands.
Bosses: Ender Dragon (reworked) and Ender Guardian (Cataclysm).
Tips: Explore the End islands thoroughly after defeating the Dragon. The new biomes contain valuable resources and structures.

Suggested Dimension Progression

Better MC's dimensions are best tackled in a specific order based on difficulty and gear requirements. Here is the recommended progression:
1. Overworld Exploration (Early Game): Focus on gathering resources, building a base, and gearing up before entering any dimension.
2. Nether (Mid Game): Enter the Nether to obtain Netherite and explore the enhanced structures and Cataclysm bosses.
3. The Aether (Mid Game): Build your Glowstone portal and explore the sky islands for Aether gear and accessory slots.
4. Twilight Forest (Mid-Late Game): Take on the linear boss progression from Naga through Snow Queen for powerful equipment upgrades.
5. Blue Skies (Late Game): Challenge the Everbright and Everdawn dimensions with their unique progression systems.
6. Deeper and Darker / The Other Side (Late Game): Venture into the Deep Dark dimensions with your best gear.
7. End (Endgame): Face the redesigned Ender Dragon fight and explore the overhauled End islands.
