Unique & Rare Weapons

Some Simply Swords weapons are unique or rare items found in dungeon loot chests. These have special enchantment-like abilities such as fire damage, ice effects, lightning strikes, or teleportation. They cannot be crafted and must be discovered through exploration.

Cataclysm Boss Weapons

Cataclysm weapons are some of the most powerful in the entire modpack. They can only be obtained by defeating Cataclysm bosses, making them true endgame rewards.

Gauntlet of the Bulwark — Dropped by The Harbinger. A powerful melee weapon combined with a shield mechanic, allowing you to block and attack simultaneously.
The Incinerator — A devastating fire-based weapon that engulfs enemies in flames. One of the strongest fire weapons in the pack.
Infernal Forge — A heavy-hitting weapon forged in the fires of the Nether. Deals massive damage with fire effects.
Void Forge — Dropped by the Ancient Remnant. One of the most powerful weapons in the entire modpack, dealing extreme damage.

Note: Cataclysm bosses are extremely difficult. Make sure you have strong armor, enchanted weapons, and plenty of healing items before attempting these fights. See our Bosses Guide for strategies.

Mowzie's Mobs Boss Drops

Mowzie's Mobs boss drops are unique because each one grants a special ability rather than just raw stat improvements. These drops fundamentally change how you play.

Wrought Helm — Dropped by the Ferrous Wroughtnaut. Grants the wearer heavy armor and the same imposing presence as the boss itself.
Ice Crystal — Dropped by the Frostmaw. Allows you to freeze water on contact and grants a powerful frost breath attack.
Sol Visage — Dropped by Barako, the Sun Chief. Lets you fire concentrated solar beams at enemies from a distance.
Barako's Staff — Also obtained from the Sun Chief. Allows you to command solar abilities and summon solar attacks.

Twilight Forest Weapons

Twilight Forest weapons follow the dimension's progression system. As you defeat bosses and unlock new areas, you gain access to stronger weapon tiers.

Weapon Tier Special Properties
Ironwood Sword Early Twilight Forest Slightly better than iron, good starting weapon for the dimension
Steeleaf Sword Mid Twilight Forest High sharpness, comparable to diamond
Fiery Sword Mid-Late Twilight Forest Sets enemies on fire, auto-cooks mob drops
Knightmetal Sword Late Twilight Forest Obtained from Knight Phantom drops, strong and durable
Glass Sword Special Extremely high damage but breaks after a single hit

Aether Weapons

The Aether dimension has its own unique weapon materials that cannot be found anywhere else. These weapons use Aether-exclusive ores and resources.

Zanite Sword — A unique weapon that gets stronger as its durability decreases. The lower the durability, the more damage it deals.
Gravitite Sword — Launches enemies into the air on hit, leaving them vulnerable to fall damage. One of the most fun weapons in the pack.
Holy Sword — Found as loot in Aether dungeon chests. A powerful weapon with high base damage.
Valkyrie Lance — A rare drop from Aether dungeon loot. Has extended reach compared to standard swords, allowing you to hit enemies from further away.

Advanced Netherite

The Advanced Netherite mod extends the vanilla Netherite tier into multiple upgrade levels. Each successive tier increases both damage output and durability beyond what standard Netherite offers. Upgrading requires special materials found through continued progression in the Nether and beyond. This provides a linear upgrade path for players who want to keep improving their gear without switching to entirely different weapon systems.

Combat Tips

Use JEI — Press R on any item to look up its crafting recipe. This works for every weapon in the pack.
Mid-game weapons — Simply Swords are great for mid-game. Craft different types to find your preferred combat style.
Carry variety — Keep multiple weapon types in your hotbar for different situations. A fast weapon for mobs and a heavy weapon for bosses.
Enchant before bosses — Always enchant your weapons at an enchanting table before attempting boss fights. Sharpness and Fire Aspect make a big difference.
Hidden abilities — Some weapons have hidden abilities that are not immediately obvious. Experiment with right-clicking and attacking different mobs.
Boss weapons are endgame — Cataclysm and Mowzie's drops are the strongest weapons in the pack, but require defeating very difficult bosses first.

Weapon Progression Suggestion
